Melanie is a Specialist Nurse, teacher, coach and clinical hypnotherapist. She has a wealth of experience both professionally and personally and lives and breathes a life of self development and passion.

Melanie is passionate about the experiences of a baby and her parents from conception to the early years for both baby and parents. The time of pregnancy, birth and beyond overflows with intense emotions from ecstasy to despair- and sometimes all in the one day!

Her life-long work, learning and personal experiences culminated in the birth of Big steps Little feet ™ in 2015. Taking big steps with little feet has been her experience especially as a mother to four children. Life sometimes feels like we have to take big steps and our feet are not big enough to do it.

Melanie is someone with a passion for helping people become their best selves. She deeply recognises that the more we can show up and be our true selves, flaws and all, the more we can authentically relate to others in our lives.

This is a cornerstone for success as a mother/father but not easy in the world we live in. Sadly and too often, there is a distinct lack of support services for the massive transition into parenthood that historically has always required support. In fact pregnancy, birth and beyond was a community concern not that many decades ago.

We all need connection, compassion and space to understand our experiences and to be understood. Whether its preparing for birth or tooling up with anxiety hacks to cope with life on lifes terms – nothing is insurmountable. This is what Melanie does. She offers therapeutic sessions for mothers and fathers to overcome challenges of anxiety, post natal depression, PTSD and trauma symptoms related to fertility issues, miscarriage, birth, overwhelm of parenting and much more.
Working with Melanie you can develop the courage to get acquainted or re-acquainted with your true feelings and true self – eliminating self- doubt and claiming more confidence and self-esteem.

Healing happens within a nurturing and supportive space. Taking time to understand experiences and emotions can be transfomative. Quite quickly relationship and quality of life can be positively improved.
